Authentic / Original Steiff Mohair Elephant on Wheels Pull Toy. This would make the perfect addition to a Steiff collection and is a rare find. The patented Steiff button in ear can be seen in the last photo. This particular elephant is from late 1940s to early 1950s. Color is a cream / off white. Metal base and wheels. Made in Germany.
The renowned Steiff company was founded in 1880 in Germany. Due to replicas, Steiff patented their button in ear trademark in 1905.
17"L x 16"H x 9"W
Condition: Good condition considering its age and use. Some "bald" mohair patches here and there but nothing major. Wheels work just fine and is overall in good shape. Missing the tail unfortunately.
